Day Date

Maxi Dress (similar, similar, similar) • Purse • Block Heel Sandals (similar, similar, similar) • Necklace

I have been thinking that it would be funny for both my single and married readers out there to let you peak into what it’s like dating these days.  To be honest, I have been a little nervous about writing about it too. Let’s get real…

After about a year and a half of being single and getting my daughter off to college, I decided to give online dating a try again.  A co-worker had told me that she met her husband on Christian Mingle.  I decided to give it a shot. I spent a ridiculous amount of time writing my about me section, thinking about my favorite Bible verse, and what pictures to use.  PSA: Do NOT use this app!  After countless emails Christian Mingle took my money and never activated my account.  It was then I decided that it was going to be Tinderland for me, haha.  I currently refuse to pay for a dating app.  It’s ridiculous, but I’m owning it.

Until a few days ago my about me section said: Just a girl hoping to find my partner in crime.  Y’all would not believe how literal some people are!?!  I didn’t realize it when I wrote it but it made me realize how important it is for someone to have a sense of humor.

So far, I have been on several dates and believe it or not, they have all been pretty good.  I’m not going to write about every date…I think that would get a little boring.  I will let y’all know if anything exciting happens. Keep me in your prayers because it’s so much easier to stay home or hang with my girlfriends.

I did wear this dress with these shoes on a day date this week.  Note to single readers going on blind dates…don’t wear block healed sandals that make you 3″ taller than you really are.  wink. wink.

I hope you laughed when reading this and it made your Monday morning a little bit lighter.
