Hi Friends! It’s been a gloomy week here in Austin and I have to say that spring fever has officially hit! I think spring fever sounds so much more positive than the winter blues, but truth be told, I think I have a slight case of both. Do you feel that way too? I’m officially ready for a tropical getaway, but until that can happen, I am dedicating today’s post to ways to start getting ready for spring so that when the weather cooperates we’ll be ready.

When retail therapy isn’t enough…
My doctor encouraged me to get this light earlier in the winter and it has helped. It is intended to increase energy, alertness, adjust circadian rhythm, and provide relief from the winter blues. I use it for 45 minutes in the morning and 45 minutes in the afternoon.
Sometimes I feel a little less than enthusiastic about working out especially in the winter, but I always feel so much better after! Keeping in mind that bathing suit weather is in the near future helps with motivation, haha. I keep it pretty simple, 30 minutes on the elliptical in the morning before work and 30 minutes of yoga in the afternoon. I am really wanting to try Barre classes. Have any of you tried Barre? If so, I would love to hear what you think!
