I hope you all are enjoying this long weekend. I know I have enjoyed a little down time! The last few weeks have been packed with back to school activities. Taylor is enjoying college and Misty (her horse) survived the move with only one major scare which seems to be resolved now thank goodness! Horses are far more delicate than you would think! I miss Taylor like crazy, luckily we both have been super busy getting into our new schedules that my heart feels more proud than sad at least for now. It is amazing how God knows exactly how much we can handle. I really appreciate all of your messages of support and checking in on me! It really means so much…thank you!

Style Tip: How to Style Animal Prints this Fall
Animal prints have become a favorite over the summer! It all started with a cute leopard print clutch and sandals. Print is best when worn as an accessory to take an outfit to the next level, . After all, too much print just makes you look like an animal and I think we can agree that unless it is Halloween that’s not ideal.
Style Tip: When wearing animal print, stick with solid colors. Depending on the print it can be worn with black or brown accents.
The St. Anne Tote has been my favorite back to school item by far! It has so much room and is the perfect size and width for carrying a laptop, a clutch, a small makeup bag, and all the other daily necessities that I don’t want to leave home without. It comes in a variety of colors and patterns and is waterproof! It is a little bit of an investment but no more so than John Hart (also a favorite) and their bags last forever! If you happen to go to the doctor’s office while carrying this bag filled to the brim, just know that the nurse taking your weight might also want to take the weight of your bag. This actually happened to me after an all day training and my bag weighed in at 13 pounds, haha! It might be time to take out the kitchen sink and save myself some back, neck, and shoulder pain.

Hurricane Harvey: Ways to Help
The road to healing and rebuilding in Texas and Louisiana is going to be a long one. I encourage you to donate if you can. The needs of those impacted will grow and change as the flood waters recede and the focus shifts from survival to rebuilding. So many people lost everything including their homes something that most of us can’t even imagine. I know there are many charities doing great things but unfortunately there are also less reputable charities. The following organizations have been known for being highly effective in helping.
It was suggested to me to spread donations among the following 3 organizations:
- Text HARVEY to 90999 to donate $10 to the American Red Cross
- Help bring volunteers to Texas by donating to Team Rubicon by visiting: teamrubiconusa.org
- Donate to the Houston SPCA by visiting houstonspca.org
I also know that there are a lot of horses that are currently displaced. Some have been transported to the Austin Area. If you know of a reputable charity that helps the horses in need of care and homes please leave a comment in the section below or send me an email through the Contact Me Page.
