Trend to Try: Gingham

Tie Back Gingham Ruffle Hem Dress ∞ ‘Cora’ Block Heel Sandal ∞ Denim Jacket
Tory Burch Clutch Similar ∞ Leopard Clutch ∞ Necklace ∞ Chanel Sunglasses

Let’s chat about one of my favorite trends: gingham.  Gingham can be a little intimidating because let’s face it, no one wants to walk around looking like a picnic blanket!  I was so excited when I found this dress because it can be styled so many ways and easily transition from work to date night with a few accessories.  The best part, it’s only $21!  It runs true to size, has pockets, and is machine washable! Sometimes it’s the little things that make me so happy!

I’ve been playing with different prints and textures and styled this dress in several ways to give you some fun and inexpensive ways to shake it up a little.  For date night try adding a leopard print clutch and suede block heels.  Wanting a fun day time look, wear black patent Tory Burch Miller Sandals and a fun statement necklace.  Lastly, if you are like me, I always bring a cardigan or jean jacket if I know I’m going to be somewhere indoors in the summer.  It may be 100 degrees outside but I know the air conditioning will be on full blast inside.  People look at me like I’m crazy sometimes toting around a jacket in the middle of summer, but I sure can enjoy Taco Tuesday with a margarita a lot more when I’m comfortable.

Do you have any fun prints in your closet?

Keeping It Short & Sweet,

I love this print. I guess you just have to play with the accessories’ colors depending on the event you’re going to. I am so much like you! I usually carry a denim jacket with me wherever I go. Some places have the air conditioning to a frezzing temperature! LOL

Can’t wait to read more fashion posts!
