Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and were able to celebrate Father’s Day with your loved ones. With one dad flying over seas and my step-dad busy working on Father’s Day, I didn’t really get to spend the quality time I would have liked to with either dad but they both know how very much I love them. After a week at the beach and a weekend of not feeling so hot, I’m ready to get back to exercising and eating healthy again! What better day to start than today?
So on to my new favorite…
About a month ago Beth Robb, The Diet Guru’s Wife®, reached out to me after reading my blog and offered to send me a sample of Jay Robb Protein Powder. Since then we have exchanged emails several times and I know ya’ll would love her! I have to say that the first sample pack she sent was gone within a week! She sent the Whey Protein Sample Kit and Egg White Protein Sample Kit. I liked them both but the Egg White Vanilla and Chocolate are by far my favorite! It’s the best-tasting and even better…no artificial ingredients! Hooray!
I was a little embarrassed when I wrote her a thank you note because I had already drank all of the powder and wanted to know where I could buy more before I left for vacation. The great news is that you can purchase it locally at Sprouts, HEB, Vitamin Shoppe and Whole Foods. Many other smaller shops carry it as well but she suggested calling before making the trip just to be on the safe side. They also have an auto-ship option on their website with a 20% discount if you prefer to have it delivered to your door monthly.
Sometimes protein powder can be a little hard on my stomach. The Egg White Protein was not. Egg White Protein Powder is Lactose Free, has 24 grams of protein per serving, Non-GMO, and made from chickens that aren’t treated with hormones. There are literally 6 ingredients and I can read them all. The bonus, one serving has 120 calories!
I usually drink three servings a day. One for breakfast, one with 2 cups of vegetables at lunch, and one as an afternoon snack. I prefer to add 4 ounces of Unsweetened Almond Milk (15 calories) with 8 ounces of water with one scoop of powder. The almond milk makes it a little thicker and I always feel full after drinking one. I sometimes throw in some blueberries or a banana if I am at home and have access to a blender.
If you are in the market for a new protein powder with no artificial ingredients, I highly suggest you give Jay Robb’s Powder a try. They carry the single serving sizes at the grocery store which are also great to throw in your purse when you are traveling.
A big shout out to Beth, The Diet Guru’s Wife®, for sharing with me! I hope you like it as much as I do. Please let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to find the answer for you!
Do you have any recipes for sweets that you can make with protein powder? To be honest, I have a serious sweet tooth! If so please send them to me in an email which can be found on the contact page or by leaving a comment at the bottom of this post. Thank you so much in advance!
Have a wonderful Monday!
Keeping It Short & Sweet,
