My All Time Favorite Hair Care Products

My daughter and I both have long and very thick hair. It takes a very special product to tame these tresses! My favorite products are made by Moroccanoil.  Not only does it make my hair healthy and dry faster without frizz, their products smell amazing! I can’t tell you how many people have commented on how great my hair smells even from a distance!

Just to give you an idea of my daughter’s & my hair, here’s a picture of the back of our hair sitting in the funniest chairs on the patio at Moondog’s in Rockport.

My daughter, Taylor, on the left and me on the right.

I use these products daily. However, because my hair is think, dry, and rarely oily, I often wash my hair every other day.

Smoothing Conditioner l Hydrating or Moisture Repair Shampoo l Smoothing Mask l Moroccanoil Treatment

The styling tools I use:

Paddle Brush l Round Brush l Blow Dryer

The blow dryer is a definite splurge & after using my first for about 5 years, it gave out. I still haven’t found another that works as well as this dryer. Sometimes you can find a great deal on Amazon.  Maybe I should add this to my birthday wish list (its this month) and it cuts my drying time in half!

I have several curling irons but my favorite by far is the John Frieda Volume Curl 1-1/2″ Curling Iron. It has steam that helps seal and set your curls. Bonus: You can order it through Walgreens for $21.79! I’ve had this curling iron for years and it still works perfectly!

The newest addition that I’m super excited about is dry shampoo! I haven’t tried the Morracanoil version although it does come in light & dark and I’m sure it smells & works amazing! On a whim in H-E-B before a camping trip I picked up a trail size of Not Your Mother’s {Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo}. I have since gone through several full size bottles. It’s great to spray on roots for extra volume when you’re putting your hair in a ponytail or bun & also helps as a little defense against humidity when you curl your hair, which is especially nice for Texans! Bonus: it’s $4.74 for a 7 oz bottle at Walmart!

I hope a few of these products will make you as happy as they make me! I’d love to hear about the hair products and styling tools that are your faves! I’m always open to trying something new!
